Abstract

As part of the effort to improve systems and services for children with mental health challenges and their families, a Transformation Work Group was established by the Council on Collaboration and Coordination of the Child, Adolescent, and Family Branch of the Center for Mental Health Services. The workgroup, charged with examining the compatibility of the SOC vision, values and principles, and general practices with those expressed by the President’s New Freedom Commission, conducted a national survey of key stakeholders in the children’s mental health field, individual interviews of key informants, and focus groups and general forums. Findings are available in this report.
