Dr. Liz Perkins' Presidential Address at the AAIDD Conference Now Available Online

Dr. Liz Perkins, FCIC's Associate Director is the current president of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. During AAIDD's national conference, she gave her presidential address on the topic of "Reaffirming Diversity and Inclusion." Now published in one of the three AAIDD Journals, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, her address shares how her personal and professional experiences have shaped her views regarding inclusion.

Educators from The Netherlands visit USF to Learn Firsthand about the FLPBIS Approach for Supporting Student Behavior

The Dutch visitors were comprised of educators (special education and general education teachers), school principals, administrators, PBIS coaches and researchers from Belgium and Windesheim University in Zwolle, The Netherlands, where Dr. George established an international research partnership through USF World in 2016.

CFS Works to Form Partnership with Kwara State University to Bring HIPPY’s Early Childhood Education Program into Nigerian Communities

CFS’s Ruby Joseph, a researcher in the Florida HIPPY Training & Technical Assistance Center recently returned from Nigeria where she met with faculty and students from Nigeria's Kwara State University (KWASU), village representatives, community elders and families regarding the feasibility of implementing the HIPPY early childhood education program in the villages of Malete and Elemere.

Dr. Therese Sandomierski to Receive the Association for Positive Behavior Support's 2018 Ted Carr Early Career Practitioner Award

This award is given to an early career practitioner whose work in positive behavior support demonstrates outstanding achievements in mentorship, service, and commitment to the application of positive behavior support (PBS) principles and technology in the field.

Ercilia R. Calcano, MPH selected as a USF Hispanic Advisory Committee Pathways Awardee

She was presented the award at the USF Hispanic Heritage Celebration September 29 at the USF Marshall Center.
