Dr. Ray Miltenberger's Behavior Modification Text Now in Spanish

Behavior Modification: Principles and ProceduresThe fifth edition of Behavior Modification: Principles and Procedures, a text written by CFS's Dr. Ray Miltenberger used to teach the procedures of behavior modification has been translated into Spanish. The translated text, Modificación de conducta: Principios y procedimientos, will help to reach an expanding segment of future professionals being trained to work as behavior analysts.

With increased recognition that applied behavior analysis produces very successful outcomes, organizations and individuals in a variety of areas including education, developmental disabilities, autism, child protective services, mental health, residential supports, and rehabilitation have increased their demand for behavior analytic services. In turn, higher education has responded to these demands by offering more academic programs in applied behavior analysis.

Dr. Miltenberger,  shown above in the photo with text, is a professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies (CFS) and the Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis programs at the University of South Florida.

"Applied behavior analysis has become recognized as the treatment of choice for many behavior problems," said Dr. Miltenberger,  "The need crosses all languages, and I'm honored my text was selected for a Spanish translation."

This text uses the principles of behavior modification to teach the procedures of behavior modification, illustrating them with key case studies and examples. Its precise, step-by-step approach includes practical information on the technologies used to measure and record behavior changes. The book also provides numerous opportunities for students to practice, including practice tests, application and misapplication exercises, and three quizzes at the end of every chapter.
