Call for Papers Announced for the 22nd Annual Research Conference Scheduled March 1-4, 2009

Call for Papers Deadline: October 31, 2008

Log-in

Since its first conference in 1986, the Research and Training Center for Children’s Mental Health has sought to expand the research base essential to improved service systems for children with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances and their families.

In 2009, the 22nd Annual Research Conference will continue to build on the collective knowledge of the mental health services field. Researchers, evaluators, administrators, policy makers, planners, advocates and family members now work in concert across the nation to apply best practice in their states and communities. We are honored that over 700 members of this national network will come to Tampa in March to share new findings related to building effective systems of care through presentation and collaboration. As host, the Center is committed to selecting conference content that is rigorous, relevant, and focused on producing meaningful outcomes in real-world settings.

You are invited to add your knowledge and experience to the research base for systems of care serving children with mental health challenges and their families. Instructions and the online application to present symposia, paper presentations, topical discussions and poster presentations are now available.

Topics of Special Interest…

Our agenda assembles presentations into tracks that address critical areas of inquiry related to developing and implementing effective systems of care. Successful proposals will offer important research and evaluation methods and results in these areas.

The annual conference is hosted by the Research and Training Center for Children’s Mental Health in Tampa, Florida. The Center is jointly funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S Department of Education and the Center for Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration under grant number H133B040024.
