This project is a collaborative research study conducted by investigators at Vanderbilt University and the University of South Florida. It provides an effective approach for community early care and education programs to use in promoting young children’s social competence and addressing challenging behavior. It involves the development of materials, tools, and procedures to guide program-wide implementation of the Pyramid Model within community early care and education programs and examine the effects of program-wide implementation on child socialbehavior, challenging behavior, classroom climate, and teacher skills.
