The purpose of the National Research and Evaluation Center (NREC) is to advance the evidence base for HIPPYUSA. Our mission is to conduct rigorous research, provide meaningful program evaluation support, & engage in productive collaboration to promote positive child, family, & community outcomes. The Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) is a parent involvement, school readiness program that helps parents prepare their three, four, and five year old children for success in school and beyond. HIPPY meets criteria established by the Department of Health and Human Services for an “evidence-based early childhood home visiting service delivery model.”
