Janet Reyes Approved to Serve as USF TRAIN® Associate
Janet Reyes, Unit Research Administrator within the Department of Child & Family Studies has been approved to serve as a USF TRAIN® Associate. This internal designation is given by the Research Administration Improvement Network (TRAIN®) to employees who have been vetted as subject matter experts in a particular aspect of pre-award and/or post-award. Janet will provide expertise in the areas of Facilities & Administrative (F&A) Cost Rate, pay distribution and preparing project budgets.
TRAIN® Associates serve as in-class resources to participants attending TCRA Certificate courses, and/or co-present Certificate courses with other TRAIN® Associates from USF Research & Innovation, USF central areas and Colleges. It is the goal of USF TRAIN® to have a representative within each college.
TRAIN Associate support the university by:
- Helping colleagues attain their USF TCRA Certificate.
- Assisting USF research administrators develop specialized administrative knowledge.
- Sharing best practices and procedures to ensure compliance with University policy, sponsor guidelines, and federal/state regulations, thereby reducing financial risk to the University.
- Strengthening networking opportunities within the USF research community and improve cross-departmental relationships.
