CFS Contributes to Most Downloaded Article in Journal of Early Adolescence

A journal article on bullying and victimization in middle school, co-authored by CFS faculty member Carol MacKinnon-Lewis, PhD has been recognized as the most downloaded article in 2010 in The Journal of Early Adolescence (of all articles published in 2009 and 2010).

The article, Bullying and Victimization Among Boys and Girls in Middle School: The Influence of Perceived Family and School Contexts, shares findings from a study developed in collaboration with a large school district as part of a districtwide needs assessment of the middle school environment. The study examined how family and school experiences operate differentially for boys and girls, and how these experiences increase or decrease the likelihood of bullying and victimization.
