Theodora Carroll, PhD, CRC, LMHC
Dr. M. Theodora Carroll (Theo) is an Adjunct Professor for the Master of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health at the University of South Florida since 1994. She also has a private therapy practice in Sarasota County, FL.
Dr. Carroll specializes in eating disorders and group psychotherapy. She has 22 years experience as a psychotherapist with fifteen years of experience in the field of treating eating disorders. IShe is currently President of FeminInsights, Inc., which she founded to develop and implement intensive workshop programs for both men and women who envision their potential for a more creative and cooperative mode of life that allows for caring for the self while recognizing the need for compassion and interconnectedness with others. In addition, she has presented workshops at the International Symposium for Eating Disorder Professionals.
Dr. Carroll is a graduate of the University of South Florida, receiving her Master's Degree from the USF Rehabilitation Counseling Department in 1984 and her Ph.D. degree from the USF Counselor Education Department in 1993. She teaches Group Theory and Practice, Substance Abuse Counseling, and Counseling Theory Courses to Master's level counseling students She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist.
